Conventionally, laborers have to dig the soil to sow ginger/turmeric. This is tedious; time-consuming and back-breaking task due to regular bending posture at the time of sowing. The innovation is a tractor-mounted turmeric/ginger planter with adjustable row spacing. This planter can perform functions like opening a furrow, measuring the seed, Delivering the seed, and placing it appropriately in the furrow. This equipment consists of a Feeder, metering mechanism, chain drive, bevel gears, rotating discs, adjustable furrow openers, etc., and a tractor-mounted turmeric/ginger planter with adjustable row spacing from 4.5 to 5.5 ft.
