Traditionally, village people made sal leaf plates and bowls by hand, which is time- consuming and inefficient. The inventor developed a 0.5 HP electric motor-powered Sal leaf plate and bowl- making machine that works on a reciprocating motion of the press plate using a crank and connecting rod mechanism and has the ability to adjust different operation speeds. This machine can make 1000 plates and 1250 bowls per hour.
