Noorsarai where the innovator’s workshop is situated is known as a major agricultural machinery manufacturing hub in the state of Bihar. Hence, farmers in the nearby regions also prefer locally manufactured products over the company’s manufacture due to their cost affordability and modification according to requirements. Once a local farmer approached Mr. Suraj for a power-operated potato harvesting machine that could be affordable and also enable him to harvest a large number of potatoes in less time. As the innovator understands this tedious operation, he took it as a challenge, and after relentlessly for three months, he was finally able to develop a potato harvesting system that can be easily mounted on the rear section of the power tiller. Further, during the field trial, he made so additional modifications according to the field condition.
