NIFientreC

Designed especially for grassroots innovations, this program provides promising grassroots innovators, the capacity building, training, network, access to fabrication lab, capital, markets, and long-term support needed to survive and grow their business. The goal of the program is to bring the grassroots innovation to the market within a time span of 12 months.

The Grassroots Innovations Accelerator program was announced at the Festival of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (FINE) 2023, organized at the RashtrapatiBhavan, to help grassroots innovators in farming with support for entrepreneurial, product, and market development.

The program is a result of a partnership between the NIF Incubation and Entrepreneurship Council (NIFientreC) and Publicis Sapient, a digital business transformation company. The partnership will help commercialize innovations by grassroots innovators to solve challenges in agriculture and farming. The program is in sync with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 9, emphasizing resilient infrastructure, sustainable industrialization, and innovation.

In the first cohort, under the program, six distinct grassroots innovations are supported.

In the second cohort, under the program, nine distinct grassroots innovations are supported.
