Mawa is an important milk product used to make sweets. Traditionally, it was prepared by boiling milk until it became semi-solid by heating it on an open stove by burning firewood. The innovator has made modifications to the conventional boiler making it energy efficient. A steam circuit (boiler, Kadai, condenser, pipes) has been made as a closed leak-proof design resulting in better fuel efficiency and minimal wastage. The used steam is fed to the boiler along with condensate water through gravity. The closed-circuit design stops leakages, thereby reducing the additional water requirement and the wood consumption during the process.
