During festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi and Durga Puja, the idol is made up of synthetic material and paints which after being submerged in the water create a lot of pollution affecting the water bodies. The innovator came up with an innovative idea of making these idols of cow dung. The idol can be easily submerged in the water without even affecting the environment. Cow dung works as a disinfectant and can be used as a fertilizer. Also, mythologically, cow dung is considered sacred.
