Biographical Summary of Er.RakeshMaheshwari

As a Scientist in the Value Addition, Research and Development division of National Innovation Foundation – India (NIF), Rakesh has been overseeing the incubation efforts in engineering related innovations for over eleven years. He also serves as the Scientist-in-charge of the FAB Lab of NIF set up with support of MIT USA. Rakesh has been actively involved in the incubation of engineering innovations of grassroots innovators for which tasks undertaken by his team include detailed documentation, value addition, validation, prototype development, intellectual property rights, etc. He has also facilitated the establishment of 42 community fabrication workshops across 19 states of the country.

Previously, he has served at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur undertaking research in a Govt. of India sponsored project and at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad where he coordinated the activities of EU sponsored projects.

He has done Masters in Technology in Farm Machinery and Power (Agricultural Engineering) from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and Bachelors in Engineering in Agricultural Engineering from Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur, Rajasthan.
